Harry, Curly, Bunsen and Chopsticks are surfers that beach-lovers are unlikely to forget.  They are shorter than most and have more hair.  They also have a tail.

Shane Wilmott is an Australian surfer who trained these mice (although the pictures show what appear to be rats).  The rodents are known as The Radical Rodents.

The “mice” are placed on specially made rodent-sized boards and guide themselves through the surf with the use of their tails as rudders.

The foursome is not restrained to the boards and jump off whenever they wish.  It helps that these rodents are naturally comfortable in the water.

Wilmott stated that the surf-scene began for the little guys when he had taken them with him to the beach one day.  They instinctively took to the sea and the love of the sport has taken over since.

Wilmott takes care to keep his surfing buddies out of frigid waters.  They also hit the showers with a rinse of fresh water after each trip to the saltwater.
